Rutina para la hora de comer en inglés y español / Mealtime routine English & Spanish

El reto bilingüe en casa consiste en integrar el idioma minoritario como parte de nuestra rutina diaria, aquí tenemos un ejemplo de una rutina a la hora de comer, para todos los días practicar.

Are you hungry? ¿Tienes hambre?
Would you like to have a snack ? ¿Te gustaría comer algun refrigerio?
It’s time for breakfast / lunch / dinner. Es hora de desayunar/almorzar/cenar.
Dinner is ready! ¡La cena esta lista!
What are we having for lunch/dinner today? ¿Que vamos a almorzar/cenar hoy?
What would you like to eat? ¿Que te gustaria comer?
What would you like for breakfast/lunch/dinner? ¿Qué te gustaría desayunar/almorzar/cenar?
Let’s wash your hands Vamos a lavarte las manos
Go wash your hands. Ve a lavarte las manos.
Let’s clean your hands. Vamos a limpiarte las manos.
Can you get me a napkin? please Me das una servilleta/ me pasas una servilleta
Could you pass me the salt please? ¿Podrias pasarme la sal por favor?
Let’s set the table. Vamos a poner la mesa.
Here is your plate, bowl, spoon, fork, cup, napkin… Aquí está tu plato, tazon, cuchara, tenedor, vaso, servilleta…
Please Put the tablecloth on the table Por favor pon el mantel en la mesa
Can you help me spread out the tablecloth and set the table? ¿Me ayudas a desplegar el mantel y a poner la mesa?
Let’s sit you in your high chair and buckle you in. Vamos a sentarte en la sillita y abrocharte.
Sit in your chair. Siéntate en tu silla.
Sit up straight Sientate derecho (sientate bien)
Let me push your chair in. Te acerco a la mesa. (Déjame empujar tu silla.)
Let’s put on your bib. Vamos a ponerte el babero.
Wait a minute, First you have to put on you bib! ¡Espera! Primero tienes que ponerte el babero.
Would you like to try the broccoli? ¿Quieres probar el brócoli?
Try some… chicken/soup/carrots Prueba un poco de… pollo/sopa/zanahoria
Is that yummy? ¿Está rico?
Do you like it? ¿Te gusta?
Mmmm. Delicious! Mmmm. ¡Qué rico!
Yummy, yummy in my tummy Deliciosa comida en mi pancita.
Open your mouth. Abre la boca.
Open wide, here comes your food! ¡Abre la boca grande! aquí viene la comida.
Here comes the airplane. Aquí viene el avión.
Have a bite of… Una mordidita de…
Take three more bites. Tres bocados más.
Hey! Don´t spit your food out! Hey! no escupas la comida.
Keep chewing your food slowly Sigue masticando lentamente tu comida
You need to swallow the food. Tienes que tragar la comida.
I know you want a chocolate, but first you need to finish your soup. Yo sé que quieres un chocolate pero tienes que terminar tu sopa primero.
Eat it up! ¡Cómetelo!
Drink your hot chocolate / milk / juice / water Tómate el chocolate caliente/ la leche / el jugo/ el agua.
¿Quieres más? Do you want more?
Do you want some water? ¿Quieres agua?
Do you want an apple? ¿Quieres una manzana?
Use your spoon/fork Con la cuchara / tenedor.
You can use your fingers. Puedes con los dedos.
Do you want more or are you finished? ¿Quieres más o has terminado?
Are you done? ¿ya terminaste?
More or finished? ¿Más o terminado?
Great! you ate it all! ¡Super! Te lo comiste todo.
Let’s clean your face and fingers. Vamos a limpiarte la cara y los dedos.
Now it’s time to clean up. Ya es hora de recoger.
